Mr. C. K. Birla, Chairman (C.K. Birla Group of companies)
Mr. C. K. Birla is the group Chairman of C. K. Birla Group of companies and grandson of the founder, Mr. B. M. Birla, and son of Mr. G. P. Birla. He is an industrialist and has rich business experience dating back to 1978.
Besides Hindustan Motors Ltd., Mr. C.K. Birla also heads National Engineering Industries Ltd., Hyderabad Industries Ltd., Orient Paper & Industries Ltd., Gmmco Ltd., Birlasoft Ltd., The Indian Smelting and Refining Company Limited, Nigeria Engineering Works Ltd., Rivers Vegetable Oil Company Ltd. (RIVOC ), Nigeria, etc.
Mr. C. K. Birla has carried over the philanthropic legacy of his family which is well known for large philanthropic endowments in the country. These include research and educational institutions, hospitals, rural development programmes, recreation centres, museums, art galleries, planetariums, temples etc.
Mr. Uttam Bose, Managing Director
Mr. Uttam Bose joined Hindustan Motors as its Managing Director on April 2, 2012. He is a mechanical engineer and a post-graduate in management from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He is also a qualified Lead Auditor (Quality System) from BSI, London and has done Management Executive Programme from IIM, Ahmedabad. He is a certified TPM Instructor from JIPM, Japan, besides being a value engineer from Society of Value Engineering, India. Mr. Bose has 26 years of varied experience.
During his career, Mr. Bose has held senior and top positions in Usha Martin, Brunton Shaw ME, FZE, in UK and Dubai, Caparo India and Samtel Group. Prior to joining Hindustan Motors, Mr. Bose was Group CEO with Hero Motors.
